Collaboration Spotlight: MNPS Pre-K Department

On September 14, 2017, the MNPS Pre-K Leadership team held a retreat.  A component of that retreat was to use the collaborative inquiry process to analyze multiple sources of data and develop SMART goals for the year.

The session began by engaging them in a conversation about Pre-K in the past, now, and future.  The strategy was called Looking Back and Looking Ahead (Lipton & Wellman, 2011).

After a quick calibrating activity about making data observations NOT inferences and/or explanations, the team recorded data observations from multiple sources of data. 

After a brief discussion about SMART goals, draft goals were generated during this session.  We are still working to finalize their goals for their deadline of October 6th.
