Revisit Vision, Mission, and Values
Use Collaborative Inquiry to Develop
Literacy, Numeracy, and Culture SMART Goals

The JE Moss Elementary leadership team met to review their vision and mission statements.  Then, they used the collaborative inquiry process for reviewing multiple sources of data to generate literacy and numeracy SMART goals for the 2017-2018 school year.

Exploring and Discovering the Data
Just the Facts....

Organizing and Integrating
Creating SMART Goals for Literacy and Numeracy

Literacy SMART Goal DRAFT

By End of School Year:
  • At least 59% of students at or above proficiency on TLA
  • At least 40% of students at or above proficiency on MAP-R
  • At least 12% of students exit EL based on ACCESS
  • All grade levels will be at or above the district mean on MAP-R.
  • Grades 2-4 will increase by 5% of students scoring at or above the JE Moss overall performance on the MAP-R

Numeracy SMART Goal DRAFT
By End of School Year:
  • All grade levels will be at or above the district mean on MAP-Math.
  • Grades 2-4 will increase by 5% of students scoring at or above the JE Moss overall performance on the MAP-Math.
  • All subgroups will increase performance by 7% as measured by FastMath assessment.

Culture SMART Goal DRAFT
  • Decrease the number of repeat offenders.
  • Increase the scores in the various categories of the SEL culture and climate walkthrough.

Next Steps:
    ---Finalize goals
---Margie will email document to committee
    ---Develop action steps

Exit Ticket Reflection
What actions might I take as a result of this meeting?

  • finalize TLA % goal—(3)
  • math focus
  • dig deeper into repeat offender data & possible interventions
  • organize/analyze data generated, form concrete plans to execute
  • review info from today…digest
  • schoolwide discussion so everyone is on board for goals
  • make sure all subgroups ae included in needed support
  • there are many areas to stay focus on.  might need to broaden our focus
  • I will become more proficient in understanding of MAP data/reports.
  • learn more about reports available in MAP and how to use it to inform instruction
  • update the SIP with this new data
  • I learned about our data form this past year and how to set SMART goals to help the new school year.
  • We need to come together to make very clear action steps to meet these goals.
  • We need to take time with our team to actually look at the data and use our findings.
